Spotlight on: Green Toys for Eco-Friendly Fun!

Green Toys is one of our favorite brands!

Based in California, the founders of Green Toys wanted to create toys with the smallest possible ecological footprint.

They use recycled plastics as their only manufacturing material. In other words, they take empty milk jugs and turn them into toys!

They have also started using OceanBound plastics. These materials are sourced from communities without recycling facilities, ensuring these items never make it into the ocean.

Green Toys produces their toys exclusively in the USA. This reduces their transport emissions and keeps their carbon footprint really small. It also means they are directly connected to building their local economy.

Green Toys’ commitment to the environment extends to their packaging. It can all be recycled and is printed with soy inks.

The toys themselves are BPA, phthalates, and PVC free. They're also dishwasher safe, so if something gets *really* grimy you can clean it easily.

Here at Happy Up, we adore their viewpoint, as well as their toys.

The chunky designs and curved edges of their cars and trucks are great for toddlers and little kids. Their boats float and are happy in a wading pool or tub. They've created diggers that really scoop and dump trucks that really ... er ... dump. Take them into a sandbox or to the beach for hours of pretend play!

One of our particular favorites is Green Toys' dish sets. Since they can go in the dishwasher, kids can serve real treats and refreshing drinks at their tea parties!
