Bike riding is a breeze when you learn on a Strider!
With a balance bike, riders are in direct control of how fast they go. With their feet firmly on the ground, they “stride” to propel the bike along. And they develop their sense of balance and coordination in an intuitive and natural way. The foot rests let them coast along, just like on a two-wheeled pedal bike.
And once your child is comfortably able to zoom around, it’s an easy transition to a pedal bike. No training wheels needed!
12” Sport:
Some kids aren't ready to ride a bike as soon as they can walk. They need some time. The 16" Sport is designed with them in mind. It's as easy and intuitive as the 12” Sport, and offers larger wheels with a big-kid bike feel!
The 16" Sport is a perfect opportunity for older kids in the disability community to discover biking (the 12" Sport is great for younger). Whether they have mobility challenges or physical differences, a balance bike lets them develop body awareness, gross motor skills, and find their balance on two wheels. All while working toward the goal of riding a pedal bike!
